water params fine
tank temp 77°
no new fish, plants, ferts, food, etc
last water change 25% 10/3
cichlids, gouramis, black phantoms, cories, BN, loaches

I noticed ich today in this tank ]:| I can't remember the last time I had to treat for it...best options besides raising tank temp?

The other problem I've never seen on any of my fish. On the moonlight gourami it only affects the face, around the mouth and 'chin' area; both look sort of swollen, lumpy, pink in color. Otherwise the fish is doing well, quite active and obviously ready for breakfast.

My firemouth has whatever this is as well. It is behind one eye, on the dorsal fin, and a couple other parts of the body. I did notice it almost looked like bits of this stuff fell off when the fish swam quickly. The firemouth is staying towards the bottom in the back of the tank, but that's somewhat normal behavior for it.

Any ideas what this is and how it can be treated at the same time as ich? I've started raising the tank temp; how high do I go? Maintain regular feeding schedule?

Best pic I could get but the pink area behind the eye is visible here:

And the gourami:

Maracyn Plus can be very effective to treat various fungus problems...

Treat soon before it spreads. Once into the mouth of the fish the fungus becomes almost impossible to moderate.

Mild Ich, if there is any, can wait for treatment. The antibiotic will moderate the resulting fungus that it produces.
