	loss of clowns
doch Small Fry Posts: 10 Kudos: 13 Votes: 0 Registered: 15-Feb-2003	i have lost 4 clowns in a week aged from 6 months to 2 years all have been found lying on the bottom with very rapid breathing have cheaked all water parameters in the tank apart from chlorine witch i add aqua plus to could this be the cause of death and if it is how do i check for chlorine

garyroland ---Prime Fish--- Posts: 7878 Kudos: 4010 Votes: 103 Registered: 31-Dec-2001	Losing four Clowns in a week is a disaster and a sure sign that something has changed drastically in your tank... Rarely do I take someone's word that parameters are "fine" when a large loss takes place. Give me the test results, all, done with a liquid test and tank size. Also tell me if you have enough surface agitation to allow for a rapid gas exchange. --garyroland.
