Is there ich remover that are safe to snails, aquari-sol has cooper salts and I will have to remove my apple snails, I would like to treat with them in If I can, medication premitting. The nitrite reading is also 0.1 mg/L due to tank being newly setup. ammonia 0 nitrate 20 ph 8. Will the nitrites be increased due to addition of meds. Do I need to keep the lights off also to decrease the activity of the fish. The instructions say to add 12 drops/ 10 gal, Is a week of this treatment long enough? Thanks openwater. So_Very_Sneaky Ultimate Fish Guru Posts: 3238 Kudos: 2272 Votes: 201 Registered: 10-Mar-2004	Hi, I have heard aquari-sol works good, however, as you said you will need to remove your snails, and if you have any loaches/botia of any kind, or any other types of "scaleless" fish, You will also need to remove them. They could die with the addition of the aquari-sol. You can use Kent Marine RX-P if you have scaleless fish, but you would still have to remove the apple snails.
