My 75g has four day old blue acara/GT fry. Some of the other tankmates have nipped fins due to protective dad. Is it safe to treat the tank with Melafix, should I use something else, or just wait?

Thanks

Belladonna's natural too, but I wouldn't go around eating nightshade berries.

But, yes, I've heard quite a few reports that Melafix is safe with fry, though I'd recommend a half dose anyway.

Smarty

Thanks for the replies. None of the fish look too bad but I may go with a half dosage just to make sure.

I've used melafix at full strength with guppy and platy fry a week old that had a touch of fungus with no problem.

But.. I left my charcoal pack in since it was pretty old, the melafix still did it's job nicely.

Hope your fry get better
