It is my smallest guppy and so transparent that i can't tell if it is ick. |

Clamped fins can mean several things and with this being a fry it could potentially mean that the fish was just not healthy to begin with. No other fish have been displaying problems? Have you checked your water parameters to make sure everything is alright on that end? Last edited by Tammy at 17-Feb-2005 05:49 |

I do frequent water changes and water checks. |

Yes, the parasite could be carried into the tank by snails. If you want to treat the tank for Ich than go ahead but there is a good chance it will kill all of your snails and so you will need to clean all their carcuses out of the tank or it will really play havoc with your water quality. You should take a snail that you see the spots on to the local fish store and ask them what it is you have. They also will be able to guide you in what to use to treat it. |

I had a pleco that i rescued from a friends tank( she said she was gonna flush him if i didn't take him) and he got too big for my tank. He was perfectly fine in a tank by himself for a little while but i ran out of room and the pet place wouldn't take him back. They won't even order a betta for me even though the breeder is related to them and she has a halfmoon for sale. They said they knew she had hm's occasionally but every time i ask they say they haven't talked to her. ( they get a new batch of bettas every 2 weeks) I have had it with them. They have begun to neglect their tanks. I noticed 2 tanks yesterday with bad fin rot and 15 dead mollies. They are in over their heads trying to get more business instead of providing quality fish care for the faithful customers. I am not going to ask them for anything else. P.S. my 2 sick babies died yesterday. ![]() |
