I hope my other fish is ok.

Are those white marks by the red ones? Could it be a fungus? Are there any fish that could have instigated a fight, and the molly gotten some open wounds?

I've got a fever... and the only prescription... is more cowbell!

I'm so sorry to here about your loss...But, the redness by the gills makes me think that you may have had a high ammonia content in your tank...Have you checked your water parameters? If not you might want to, as you wouldn't want this to happen to anyone else...best of luck, heidi

My water test:
PH=7,5
Ammonia=0,0
Nitrate=0,2
Nitrite=0,0
The other fish seems to be ok.
How long time those it take to see the red spots/fungus?
The molly looked fine 2 days ago.

It really depends on the fish itself...

With the water in that quality you should be fine...just keep a watch on the water parameters, also don't forget to keep up with small water changes each week or every 2 weeks...I like to do about 20% each week, but you can go every two weeks with 20-30% usually...

If you notice another fish coming down with what looks like what your molly had, I'd start treating the tank with MelaFix, it is a good general medication, that can help on many different ailments...

Until laters, I hope all is well, and water quality is wonderful! heidi

The picture is blurry, but it appears to have died of a type of blood infection or a septicemia. Any external infection, parasite bite, or even internal parasites can create an opening for a systemic infection. They end up with massive hemorrhaging and it sometimes is visible outside, but more often can look a simple as a drop of blood at the vent, bloodshot eyes, redness at the base of the fins and so on. Sometimes it is caused by an aeromonas infection.

It would be wise to look the other fish over carefully for any of the signs I've mentioned. Look for behavioral issues too like isolation, lethargy, lack of apetite and staying in one place.

Were the eyes all bloody too? If so, then I'm pretty sure it was septicemia.

Is this the one you wrote about on March 30?

It's hard to medicate any tank that had nitrite. Just for future reference what kind of meds are available to you in Cyprus? Are antibiotics easy to get for fish? What about medicated food?

Thanks for the replies
Here i can get all kinds of med.I will look if my fish is changing behavior or other things that will show that he is not good.Iam doing 30-50% water change every 2 weeks
My last test of water:
Ammonia=0,0
Nitrite=0,0
Nitrate=0,1
PH=7-7,5
No the eyes where not bloody..the molly has red eyes.
His fin was almost wanished too.
I maybe think that he got into a fight
So if something is happening to my other fish i will go and buy some med for my fish.
Thank you,
Robby

He may have had a case of finrot that led to an internal infection.
