problem with my YOYO loach | |
Barb_Fan2 Fingerling Posts: 27 Kudos: 23 Votes: 0 Registered: 12-Jan-2006 | One of my YoYo Loaches as one Red Eye that he never had before I just noticed it a few minutes ago does anyone have any ideas as to what might be causing the red eye? he also seems to be lying on the bottom more than usaully and seems to be avoiding the other tankmates. |

longhairedgit Fish Guru Lord of the Beasts Posts: 2502 Kudos: 1778 Votes: 29 Registered: 21-Aug-2005 | It would be a good idea to mention your water chemistry and/or any events that have happened recently.What are his cagemates, tank specifications etc. A whole range of things could cause this , inclusive of high nitrate, nitrite, and ammonia. The cause could also be bacterial, or caused by parasites like flukes. If you could include a picture it would be a real help. Help us to help you! |

I feed the fish a variety of foods , from live worms, ghost shrimp, to flake foods, freeze dried foods, for the bottom feeders biogard wafers, fresh veggies from time to time. water parimeters are as followed ph 6.0 nirate NO2 0 ppm amonia 0.5 to 1.0 ppm |

I have never kept Golden Barbs but I "think" they can be eye pickers as I said I "Think" With the Water changes In would strongly recommend a 30% weekly.
