It is only on my rubbernose pleco and 2 dojos as of right now (my favorite of course). I added the ich meds and had read before that raising the temp of the tank can help get rid of it faster. Right now the tank is 74-76. How fast should I raise the temp and how high should I take it? I don't want to harm the dojos because they like cooler water but I also don't want to the ich to kill them. TIA Jen |

Only go as high as the dojos will be comfortable with, you don't want to increase their stress after all ![]() Raising the temp really only helps by speeding up the life cycle of the ich making it easier for the meds to kill it once it's fallen off. I'd also reccomend increasing your surface agitation while you're medicating. ^_^ ![]() Current [link=Contest Rules]http://www.fishprofiles.com/files/forums/Aquascaping/44382.html?200412022138" style="COLOR: #EB4288[/link] ![]() |

They should be okay with this for a little while...hopefully it will be gone by then. I don't have a bubble bar laying around to increase surface agitation, but could I get the same effect just lowering the water? I have a whisper 30 and a penguin 330 on this tank and between the two of them, there is a lot of movement at the top. I just really hope I caught it in time. I couldn't stand to lose any fish, especially my dojos! I'm never going on vacation again ![]() Thanks again Jen |
