Hi all,

I was wondering if a fish can be dosed with med for longer than the perscribed time from the med? My angelfish has quite bad fin rot due to fighting and he's takin more than 3 days and it has only 'reparied' slightly. Should i cont med or change med(will it shock him if i use a different med again?)

Thx

What med are you using?
Fin rot often requires extended periods of treatment. Follow the directions for additional treatmetns (usually a water change is required) Switching meds in mid treatment isnt' normally the best idea (IMO) so if you're seeing improvemnt you may want to continue treating with the one you have been.

As always keep a close eye on your water parameters .

Gee, keep using the meds that you are using till the fish is healed. Stopping half healed, would be like us take an antibiotic for a day or two, then quitting...we won't get better, and neither will the fish...Read the directions about water changes, and like Babel said watch your water parameters...Heidi
