Oh you poor dear! Hugs! How old is your tank? Why all the water changes? What do you use to do your changes? What foods do you feed and how much? What tests do you use? Is that PH the reading you Always get or does it go up and down? You do have some interesting fish together. Do you see alot of nipping? Please tell us all the medicine you have added and how much. I hope by asking all this we can see whats going on. Hang in there.

if you don't know what to do and your are confident with your water condition...might as well just use a broadspectrum medication to treat the whole tank...just carful not to overdose

Found the angel and krib dead this morning, I'm just sick about this

Two things I forgot to mention in my original post....anything that goes in this tank-net, gravel vac, my hands, etc-gets thoroughly washed before and after, no soap just water. And because of the high temp I did increase aeration.

So I retested this morning after I removed the dead fish:

temp 77°
pH 7.6
nitrIte 0
ammonia 0
nitrAte 10 (last water change three days ago)

This is awful and I can't figure out what's going on

Might be a combination of stress from other fish being sick, fighting off the disease themselves(even if it didn't show symptoms), and from the medicine, change in temp etc. I've found that disease and treatment is very stressful on ALL inhabitants, not just the ones that show symptoms.

Check the params to make sure the meds didn't mess with your bio filter.

I hope it wasn't that beautiful Ram in your pics...sorry for your losses

It's almost 11:30pm and I'm getting ready for work, lights-out was a while ago. I test the water again in the morning a post the results.

It's a 55g with a Penguin 330.

Original stock:

1x angel
2x Bolivian ram
2x keyhole
2x krib
10x black phantom
1x BN
6x trilineatus cories
1x moonlight gourami
1x pearl gourami
1x festivum
1x firemouth

Somewhat overstocked...the tank is planted and I do twice weekly water changes.

Before lights out the krib looked worse, still staying near the filter intake. The angel's color was good but it just hung near the surface. Both were breathing heavily, gasping...sorry I can't think of the proper word. I doubt the krib will make it thru the night.

Can you tell us exactly what the parameters are??

Did you mention the size of the tank and the type of filtration and how many trops are/were in the tank??
