i was away on vacation and i just got back i fed my fish and made sure they are all alive.. well one of my clown loaches has ich.. i pulled him out and put him in a quarintine tank but im not sure how long he has had it...<br><br>anyways i am not quite sure how to treat it but i dont have money until tomorow at 8pm.. so thats another 24 hours .. what should i do?

I don't think there's much else you can do without meds. The q-tine tank is a good idea, but be on the look out for more cases in the main tank. Chances are another fish or two might get it, so you might have to treat the whole tank. Good Luck

Wait 24 hours.... No need. Increase your temp to 28degC now. Atleast that will start to speed the ich life cycle up, and may put them in their susceptible stage by the time you buy the ich meds. Adding salt is pointless at this stage, as it's a prevention... not a cure.

Make sure you use copper safe or tri-sulphur or someting that is copper free... scale less fish don't like copper.

ok i just got back and treated the main tank.. when i went to the hospital tank the clown loach was already dead...
