i recently noticed some of my fish had white spot so i rushed to the lfs and got some ick-treatment medicine...
well... i put the 10 drops as stated and the water turned all blue-purple.....after an hour the coloration disapeared , does that mean that the ick-cure disapeared?

and the filter is still connected ...as it says on the bottle.. {do not disconnect filter/replace filter carbon after treatment) ????

All you have to do is remove the carbon filter insert, and dose as recommended. This will allow the Ich medication to still go through your running filter system and back into your aquarium without being filtered out by the carbon. Do not turn off your filter system, and at the end of your med treatment simply do a good water change of 25%-35%, and install a new/fresh carbon filter insert

The water turned to such a color because you just dosed with the meds, given time it will eventually lighten because it's now diluted and running throughout your whole aquarium. Or you have left carbon filter in (has to be removed) and this will also help to clear the waters odd color.

Hope this has helped, and if anyone feels something should be changed/added to help voodoo_Doll please do so All the best.
