Here is my origional 30 gallon paludarium thred

Since the tank I'm getting has room for a top and a bottom tank, I figured I'd do another 30 gallon paludarium! However, this one would be a herp habitat instead of a mangrove swamp. I would make it 20 gallons land and 10 gallons water.

Water: 10 gallons
6-10 ADFs
1-3 reb bellied newt

Land: 20 gallons
2 firebellied toads
1 whites treefrog
1 green anole
1 house gecko
1 long tailed grass lizard

My question is, is that ok stocking wise for all of you reptile experts? I don't skimp on the maintanance. Also, would my lizards drown in the water? I thought it would be ,if anything, positive having a mini pond in there to boost humidity. The water level would not be too high, I'm just wondering if any of these lizards would swim, or at least not be dumb enough to jump in the water.

Thanks in advance

You might have a point there. However, I'm really looking for info on the land portion of the tank.

thanks

id say that six different animals living on a 20 gallon peice of land is over stocked besides u generaly want to keep lizards with their own species id say u should just have 2-3 longtailed grass lizards because anoles hate to be handled and the gecko is nocturnal 1 tree frog and two newts

Back from the dead, the paludarium rears it's ugly head once more in Tom's brain.

Unfortunately, it is only a 20L, but that is about the same size as a 30, only 6" shorter.

How about an all amphibian setup?

5 ADFs
2 chinease firebelly newts
1 leopard frog
2 firebelly toad
3 red and black tree frogs
6 bloodfin tetras
6 cories
Here's the plans:

By creating the underwater ledge, I allow about 15 gallons of land space. However, underneath that, I have 20 gallons of underwater space. All I need to create the ledge would be a piece of plexiglass and rocks or something to hold the sand in so the frogs don't fall down.

What do you think?
