quickly packs up all the cold that is here in houston and ships it to sirbooks...my southern rearend is missing the weather we were having...Yesterday I wore long sleeves only because I watched the weather before leaving the house...it was in the mid 80s or so at 6, using the a/c in the truck to stay cool...by the time lunch came and I ran outside (with my sleeves rolled up)it was like a slap in the face just in the commons area...then I decided to go out to my truck in the open air area? OH FLIP!!! grabbed my hoody, and my jacket and came back in...we dropped about 40* in one day...don't know what it is really outside just cold and the wind can definately find someplace else to go

I hear ya Houston....front page in our paper today was how it dropped 20 degrees in less than 30 minutes. You could watch it happen. Not quite as cold down here as you are up there, but cold enough. It went form 80 to 55 in about an hour. Historic to be sure. Folks wear heavy coats around here when it's 70...you should see them at 50.

Oh oh! I think we sent too much snow to monkeyboy............... he hasn't been back on.

Hubby said 2.7 million people were without electric because of this storm. Hope monkeyboy wans't one of them. Nope..........his profile said he was on today.
How cold did you get monkeyboy? And how much snow you guys got?

Our immediate area got ice & 2 to 4 inches of snow, but I heard that some areas in the state got about a foot of snow. I wonder if Katieb & Sirbooks got the winter they wanted yet?

32 degrees and thawing out from the most recent storm. I live in Oregon in the Cascades. My beautiful snow filled yard has turned into a mushy wet mess. We are back to rain and more rain. All my family is from your neck of the woods though FishPatty. I am the only one in the family without an accent, thank God!

I wasn't raised here, so I talk normal. I'm originally from Ariz., so I understand about (was it Keith's lawn) the lawn burn. I was going to suggest that to him, but didn't think it was hot enough there to do that!

Yes I am freezing... It was 3rd day of summer here in Sydney. I had on a jumper (sweater/pullover) and the heater switched on. Brrrrr.

Lucky me. I prefer unseasonably cool to the option of sweltering... then there is the issue of bushfires... let it rain, let it rain (to the tune of 'let it snow')

We've lost our winter here, it'd Dec 8, and it should be -15 Celsius with 30 cm of snow right now, but instead it's +8 and rain, rain, rain for a month now.
