Mine

Same species. Mine is a 9+ inch monster with room to grow. Beautiful fish, but he does like to hide a little more than he likes to show off.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I still like his hat How much did you pay for one of those guys? Do they get a tan when they are older? They are so awsome!

They get darker when they are older as well as when they are less stressed out. I have one that's the same age but a bit smaller. He has the same pattern as the one in your pic, but is also darker in color like the big one. I think they were about $8-10 each. If you want to get one make sure you have a big tank for them and tankmates on the larger side when they're bigger (they don't go out and hunt other fish, but they have a tendency to eat anything small enough that they run over). Don't expect to see it much either.

They are a beautiful fish. My fella is about 9". Loves brine and bloodworm. Eats out of my hand all the time.

My LFS currently has baby ones in stock. Only £2.95 as well.

Only trouble is I'd need to spend £300 on a suitable aquarium for it to grow in
