Do the sex offender ads bother anyone else?
I personally find them kinda creepy and they have nothing to do with fish.

i haven't seen that one... but if you really don't like looking at some part of a website, you can get firefox and download the extension called "remove it permanently" and you can right click on the piece you don't want to see and it will no longer show up on that page as long as you use firefox.

I haven't seen that one either, but if you have a complaint about a Google ad you can click the "Ads by Goooooogle" link at the bottom and then "Send Google your thoughts on the ads you just saw".

I see them on like every single page. Most states already have sexual predator websites where you can look up their addresses/photos/offenses so you can protect yourself, so they are pretty pointless as well.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Really?

That's awful! How ever can the criminal justice people keep them safe and continue their rehabilitation with that sort of pressure on them?

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

not to turn this discussion too political, but the US doesn't really care about rehabilitation of its criminals anymore. prison is used now as a place where criminals go to be beat down and become better criminals. then when they get out they are denied many services because of their criminal history. some states have tried to pass laws that say that once you become a registered sex offender that you automatically get life in prison. ok, i guess i turned it a little political after all...

tiny clanger,
Do you want a predator to move next to your house without your knowledge?

While the system does seem to hinder a criminal's rehab. I do not believe that a sex offender can be rehabilitated to the point where they not a danger to children. Im not a parent, but if I was I would want to know whether or not a child preditor was living near me. When you make yourself a danger to others, I feel the public has a right to know.

I never really noticed until now, but thats because I just ignore the ads anyway.

As for the issue itself, its just another "if they break the law, should they still get the same rights as those who don't break the law" issue.
