I have drive mode sorted now I think. Will test it out on the fry tomorrow.

Try telling him that mud masques are not right for him babel.... he likes mud or peanutbutter ones!

Yep, drive mode will be your friend for those faster fry .

If it's like my camera (oooor you could just look it up in the manual ...in any of the modes except straight AUTO mode you can select the function (same as the delete on mine) key, then tab down till you see a square []<<<kinda like that. On mine it's the third one down. Then tab over to the second option that has a bunch of squares on fanned out on top of each other. The drive mode menu is the same place you'll find your delay timers for when you wanna jump in the shot too.
Isnt he a little young for mud masques ?

Clowny, I got a Canon Powershot a520. I'm very happy with it.

Josh, hope you are enjoying your new toy too. Nice fishy pic.

PS its mud! He had so much fun pulling up rocks and throwing them in the creek. He slept very well when we got home.

Clowny, i'll pass the info over to my dad as he is looking at buying a digi cam since looking at my new toy.

We went for a picnic with the boys today. I opened my 'hidden' present and took it with me!

Still learning all the tricks to the camera but its very nice so far.

Lindy,

I asked the same question a few months ago, and gots lots of responses from people with sample pictures. Here is a link to that old thread of mine, hope it helps.

The one I decided to go for is a Fuji 5600 and I should be getting it within the week, but on the pages, the other one I liked the best was the Fuji 3000/3500.

Regards,
Clowny.

Its my 30th bday (sshhh dont tell anyone )coming up real soon and Adrian says he will buy me a digi cam.

So I thought I would ask you guys for suggestions. I'm not a big photographer, I just want to be able to snap some good pics for the photo albums and to put on the net/send via emails. The last camera I got chewed through batteries and had quite a delay between when I pushed the button and when it actually took the photo which was extremely annoying. I should of had shares in Duracell!

Budget is around $500 if that helps.

Excellent choice IM(only slightly biased)O .

quick and easy camera to learn, really jsut a point and shoot like any other, gives you the option of going manual if you feel creative.
Have him pick up some rechargables and a quick charger too....they seem to last longer .

I have found a pretty good deal on the Canon Powershot A520. So if no one has any extreme problems i'll be sending Adrian to go buy it. /:'
