I admit it's getting hot, we've had ya'll's weather down here in Texas till the past couple of days, thanks but can we have it back

I'm not gonna say I like the heat, but when I start thinking of how bad it is now I remember when I lived in Presidio, and many of ya'll have heard me whine about the heat there, so I'll keep it short

If we had had a local radio/tv station (we were in the boonies, you want something local it came from Chihuahua Mexico, or you had cable and then it was from Lubbock--nothing local) The weather man's weather would have been, Today we only hit a high of 122* with our low being 107* at 3 this morning. Tomorrow's high will be 128* and low, if we get lucky 101* Stay inside if you can and those that can't be sure to wear the long sleeves, hat, and get plenty of fluids. We are only on day 32 without going under 100*, we still have another 30 or so, then we can kiss 100* for our low good bye." and folks we didn't have a/c. As for heat indexplease when it's hot, it's hot I broke Leslie's thermometer one cool summer day by laying it on the sidewalk...it was scaled to 130*, she made me get it when it hit 180*

So enough said, it could be worse, and it will get better August is almost here and then most of ya'll will start to cool off come September...us herewell November it will be cool againheidi

I like to think that whoever designed marine life was thinking of it as basically an entertainment medium. That would explain some of the things down there, some of the unearthly biological contraptions

Well, it is 63F and muggy today. It drops to 55-60 during the nights. We aren't having summer yet.

Today I had a sweatshirt on and after work a heavy fleece (<50ºF). Yesterday I went on a rescue call and had sweat running down my back as I was just walking back to my car afterwords.

Lucky you babel

103 with a heat index of 115 so far...

Tomorrow still in the upper 90's no doubt the heat index will still be in the 100's

But in a few days it will finally cool off to around the low 80's

106 so far today...and because people are idiots and set the AC to 68 (I know because they're running around outside in long sleeve shirts and jeans ) we've been having power surges @work today.

*mutters about people that cant manage to dress appropriatly for the weather and just waste electricity*

Side note...I wont have to turn the AC on...we're supposed to get a break tonight and be in the 80's tomorrow

Uggg who else is dealing with temps over 100F an hour after sunset ] ....have I ever mentioned I hate summer?

I'm surprised I've got this far this year without complaining daily...even with that week of 90% humidity!

Wow, never thought people working inside with A/C would complain about the heat.

Oh well, guess I just have to get use to working OUTSIDE in the 98*+ (heat index of 120+) carrying lillies around that weigh about 35lbs each and lotus which weigh about 75lbs each (for the small containers). They aren't too heavy, its the numbers that kills ya.

oh well, just drink up and stay hydrated

Heat index was 120+ today, and tomorrow will be hotter. The actual temp was somewhere around 103, not too bad. At the moment (10:15 at night) it has cooled to 84 with an index of 98.

Sunday it was a near record-breaking 102 degrees, with a heat index of 112-115. The record for that day was way back in the 1930's, when it reached 105. Ugh. At least we have air conditioning!

The humidity has finally broken in a series of house-shaking thunderstorms. I'm surprised we haven't lost electricity (though apparently we did lose the satelitte dish for a while there). Tonight it's actually supposed to go down to a nigh-chilly 65 degrees. Save me, I think I'll faint!

This is the first day we've had the AC turned off in weeks... it's been constantly humid and in the high 90's. Yuck!

Only about 92 here, and dropping fast; they're predicting a high of 75 tomorrow.

But I was at home (air conditioned), in the car (air conditioned) and at work (air conditioned) all day, so I didn't notice the heat at all.

Over the weekend the heat index was hovering around 110 degrees. It's been raining the last few hours though, supposed to be rather cool tomorrow.
