The arctic tern. Pole to pole migration.

Sacramento may have rivers, but I don't think that Tallahassee does. Lakes, but no rivers. And if there are any rivers, they've got to be small.

Shinigami took my first guess (hummingbirds must be strong if they can fly backwards), so I'll go with the big 'ol harpy eagle.

Woah, I thought inverts had muscles. Someone explain that one to me. :%)

For the question, how about the hummingbird?

The aquarist is one who must learn the ways of the biologist, the chemist, and the veterinarian.

"(erk. what about the SACRAMENTO river? And I believe the San Joaquin intersects there - I thought you were from California, Cup?)"

I'm pretty sure the Sac doesn't run through the city itself, but I'll double check you on that one.

Correct, it is not an invert, as they do not have any muscles (otherwise, the strongest animal would be the rhinoceras beetle, IIRC).

A Turtle? (assuming you're not talking about ants, because they don't really have muscles)

Change of plans: questions will go by on a daily basis, as this takes a bit too long.

All of the listed CITIES are located in the state of Ohio.

Next question: which animal, by proportion, has the strongest muscles?

Good guess by corydoran, but I'm sure that at the very least, Sacremento is a ways away from any major river.

Their capitals lie on the intersection of two rivers.

All are located on or contain some kind of flatlands, such as coastal plains or desert basins.

They're all part of the contiguous US.

It's trivia with a bit of a twist: once a question is posted, those who respond may only answer once per question. If by ten replies, no one has obtained the correct answer, we move on.

Ready? You best be, son.

Q1, scoreboard's blank: In relation to American geography and barring the fact that they are all part of the USA, what do California, Delaware, Florida, Oregon, Idaho, Kansas, Nevada, New Hampshire and Wyoming all have in common?

EDIT: I will respond when the poster gets the right answer
