Well here goes. Sunday evening I noticed I lost one of my sword tails . So as I was going to fetch him out, I took the glass lids of my tank, but I left the light on it because of the ledge and that I needed it to see. Well I had to move some rocks to get him out. So after I got him out, some how my arm had hit the light, splash right in the tank. So I grabbed it by the cord and let it hang right over the front. Looked in, no lost fishes.

Well heres the fun part. Not thinking for some reason, I went to turn it off at the switch. Guess what? I went bbbbbzzzzzzzzz as I felt the juices flowing. Was that enough? Not for me. I did that two more times, before I finally realized that I had to turn it off at the wall switch.

Well its been sitting since Sunday night. Tonight I am going to plug it back in and see if it still works.

I can tell you this much, the shock I received from it wasn't much more than what you would get when you put your tounge to a 9v battery to check for power.

LMAO, oh dear, thats dreadful!

I'd tell you off for doing something so dangerous, but likely i'm the type that would do the same sort of thing

For animals, the entire universe has been neatly divided into things to (a) mate with, (b) eat, (c) run away from, and (d) rocks. - Terry Pratchett

Adrian managed to get a screwdriver stuck to a light fitting because he was determind to get it off. He didnt get zapped but there was lots of sparks flying followed by the safety switch going off.... x3!
I called an electrician the next day so he couldnt try again the next night after work.

I have dumped water onto a powerboard, wondered why there was smoke coming from the board, then stuck my hand in the water to rearrange powerheads. I wasnt zapped either but nearly caused a fire. None of the equipment was damaged either thank goodness. Had to replace the powerboard.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

for future reference when you get an electric shock you should spend the night in hospital as your heart will, thats right, will be out of rythm from the shock.

the worst i have seen is when a lightning strike came through the neutral and melted the ends of one of my workmates pliers together and he was on an insulated ladder , it sounded like an electric train coming only too quick to react

OH TOLEEDY!
