I've become increasingly interested in keeping pet snakes over the past couple of years, and I'm curious to see what reptiles and amphibians people keep here.

Here's my collection (so far):

1.0.0 Banded California Kingsnake
0.1.0 Striped California Kingsnake
1.0.0 Bay of LA Desert Rosy Boa
0.0.1 Kenyan Sand Boa

I'm hoping to get a 1.1 pair of Rubber Boas for my birthday (still in the parental negotiation process).

So what does everyone else here keep? Any pictures?

Like my fish tanks, I try to make my snake tanks as realistic as possible, using only real plants and real wood and such (basically nothing plastic). Here's a picture my Banded California King's tank (you can see part of him in the wood, he's in shed right now so he doesn't really want to come out).

My temporary tanks for growing out baby snakes don't look nearly as nice.

Suffice to say, my parents are big detractors of anything remotely reptilian in nature. I'd once attempted to get into tree frogging, but the prospect was quickly shot down. Hell, they aren't even a big fan of my fish (or rather, not big on catfish). Snakes are just out of the question.

I've kept some reptiles in my day.. mainly turtles.

i've had red-eared sliders, a spiny softshell, and an alligator snapping turtle. (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2005-8/1065763/FluffyNFish.jpg)

i've also kept iguanas and green anoles.

i'm not terribly experienced in reptiles, but i do enjoy them, as they are one of the only animals that im NOT allergic to!

i want to turn one of my spare ten gallon tanks into a reptile tank, but i've got to talk to boyfriend into it!

Two female leopard geckos and an African bullfrog.
Gettin' two fat tailed geckos this week.
What do the different numbers (0.0.1) mean? I'd assume that one number stands for males and one for females, but what is the third number for?

That's a nice looking Leo. Most of the albino/leucistic ones I see are a lot less colorful than yours. I like terrestrial geckos because they are generally really clean, like snakes. They defecate in just one corner of their cage, as opposed to Bearded Dragons and most other lizards that like to relieve themselves in their water bowl right after you just finished cleaning it out.

I got a good macro of the Kenyan Sand Boa. They are quite possibly the most adorable snakes in existence.
