A throw away see through drinking mug, coated inside with hot melted sugar/water mix, then coated all the insides with 100s & 1000s ( a small sweet multi coloured cake decoration) very time consuming but a fantastic look. Sweet potato barbequed with olive oil garlic and rosemary is very nice. so is normal potato given the same treatment.
