We moved to town like a few months ago, and along with us we brought our 2 cats too. And one of them likes 2 wonder around into other peoples yards. And I guess she is going to the bathroom in the old ladies yard that lives right next 2 us. Oh and we use 2 live in the country also. and she calls our house and complains about it and tells us that shes gonna call the dog catcher 2 take her away, and just 2 mention, this cat is the SMALLEST cat you will EVER see, she looks like shes about 4 or 5 months old and shes almost a year old!! its not like her crap is a freakin cow patty, its probably like 1 turd, but anyways.... so now my parents are going 2 get rid of her!!! its not fair!!! i luv that cat- and before i had her, i had a wonderful dog, and i had 2 get rid of her too-- why do they always make me get rid of MY pets-- my sister's dog ALWAYS barks (no one has complained yet) but i GUARNTEE if someone did complain they would not get rid of her. GGGRR its just not fair-- i dont want 2 get rid of her. im trying 2 get one of my friends 2 take her, but its not going well so far-- no telling what will happen 2 her if we take her 2 the humane society.... life is just not fair- cause you cant keep a cat inside your yard at all times

Sorry, even though I don't necessarily agree with having to get rid of your cat, I also see your neighbors point of view.

I personally feel that if you are going to have any type of pet or animal, that it then becomes your responsibilty to properly care for and to contain that pet as necessary to not become a nuisance to others.

I choose not to have any dogs or cats, primarily because I don't want to have to clean up after them or find their droppings on my shoe when I'm in my yard. And as such, I really hate it when someone's else's pet uses my yard (PRIVATE PROPERTY) to do their thing.

I suggest if you are going to keep cats, dogs or any other animal that roams then you have the reponsibility to properly contain them on your own property, or you shouldn't keep them. In my opinion cats should have to be licensed just like dogs and to be kept on a leash.

I know this will upset others, but this is my personal opinion.

a pet cat left outdoors is no longer a pet- you are merely feeding it. outdoor cats in my neck of the woods kill countless birds and small animals, deposit countless droppings everywhere, and scratch the heck out of the warm hood of my car. and the owners cry when the coyotes eat them.

why be surprised when a neighbor (who has spent alot of money for their property) complains that your feline is marring their personal property? i did not spend over 100 grand on my home so i could clean cat poo from my lawn, regardless of the size.

what is the great thrill of letting a cat spend its time outdoors, unsupervised? is it so neglected in the house that it needs to be outside to be stimulated?

in the last year or so, outdoor cats have decimated the horned toads, road runner, tarantula, and quail populations in my area. native species that have been around forever are now gone because "cute cats" were left outside for the neighbors to enjoy. when you let a cat outside, you have no idea what it is up to.

before caring for any pet- think of everything before getting it.

what is not fair?

I have to agree here.

if you don't want your parents to give away your cat, why don't you take responsibility and make it an indoor cat. Yes, that can be done.

My previous cats got so much attention and toys and stimulation indoors that they wanted to spend all the time indoors. I had one cat that would only go out to go to the bathroom so to speak, and then come back inside.

How old are you anyway? Your parents paid for that house, so ultimately its their choice.

But yes, if you have a cat, make it an indoor cat. Too much wildlife is being killed because people leave their cats outside and leave food out (which creates more problems for wildlife), than to have them inside.

Give the poor girl a break would you? Maybe her parents wont let the cat be an indoor one? Personally my cats are outside during the day and are locked up at night.

Sorry to hear your neighbour is annoyed by your cat zebra. I hope you find her a good home or find a compromise.

Before you criticize someone walk a mile in their shoes. That way you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

Zebra, if you can't find anyone to take her, there's a no-kill shelter in Buffalo. I think it's called C.A.R.E. or something like that. I believe that there's another no kill shelter in Branson. You should look in to calling one of them if you can't find a friend to take your cat. At least that way you know that she won't be euthanized.

THanks at least some of you understand. And yes, my parents wont let any cats in the house. we use to have sadie in the house when she was little actually... but my parents got a new couch so they didnt want any fur on it so we had 2 put all of our cats outside. Thanks RS- i think there is one in springfield actually-- i just hope my parents will wait until this weekend so i can take her up there, cause i work and plus school- but i only have 3 more days until school is out for the summer. none of my friends want her . There is nothing we can do to keep her inside the fence... we have another cat, he is older but he like never leaves the yard. I just want my poor sadie to go 2 a nice home !!! I am really starting to hate the city- I want country again!!
