Some of you might remember a while back when I posted about the betta I had that wouldn't eat anything but real meat until I got him some Betta Bites from home. He started doing quite well after that. I gave him to a friend over winter break, and she took good care of him. Come summer break when I couldn't take him home, I gave him to the same friend, not really expecting to see him again because she was going to be transferring to a school out in Oregon. Then she was going to come visit before school and she said she'd bring him, but then yesterday she asked me if it would be ok (and I agreed...) if she gave the fish to her half-sister for her 5th birthday. Hopefully the kid takes good care of him. I don't think I should worry about it because my friend has been so good about him. I guess this gives me an excuse to go fish-shopping now though, and that sounds good to me, especially now that I have a vehicle at school so I can drive to the actual LFS in town. I am a little sad I lost the java fern I had in there though. That was a plantlet off of one of my java ferns that I got years ago (about 4 years ago, that is), and it then survived the trip from California to Indiana and a little wait in the mailroom. Anyway, I thought you might want to hear what has become of him (or maybe I'm the only one who cares), and cross your fingers that he's getting a good home with my friends half-sister. FYI the kid has apparently been wanting a pet for a really long time and it would be really special from her sister (or so my friend told me). I think that was among the most character-ful fish I've ever had. Certainly the one with the most discriminating tastes.

aww thats sad personally i wouldent have let her give him away like that, the betta found a home in your friend, and now she passes him to some one who probly doesnt know too much, and im sure the half sister is a great kid, and all, but, i would have thought it rude, but hey, i guess its her fish and she can do with it as she wishes..im just ot so sure...hmmm

I'm guessing that she'll tell her dad and her half-sister's mom how to take care of him and the kid can just look at him... maybe
