My car is on the road to recovery!

After my dad and uncle pulled the old engine, they found out what had happened. Apparently (and I may say this incorrectly, so apologies in advance), the valve seat cracked and basically got mashed to death by the pistons/valves... one of those. In the end, we were left with nicely torn up engine parts. Neither of them had ever seen this happen before. Trust me to get a weird car problem.

For those of you who know anything about the inner workings of cars, you can probably tell that the engine isn't fully attached yet. That's where we had to stop... had to get ready to go to a family party. *shrugs* Back to work tomorrow.[/font][/font][/font][/font][/font][/font][/font]

I see it's a v6 that was in the wores condition that I have ever seen. I would hate to fix that it would take weekes but me and my uncel have his 1963 mercades benzs to work on the brakes are the main focus right now.

Uh... riri, it's in bad condition because that engine died a sad and painful death. There was no rebuilding or fixing of it. The NEW engine is the nice shiny one we put in. Sorry... maybe I should link back to the previous post on my car.

Get new heads and a new piston, build it up and sell it

if she did that then her uncle wouldn't have the correct parts just laying around when her car breaks next time

We scavenged the good parts and the rest of the block is sitting on that wooden dolly... just waiting for someone to take it. Although... the neighbor asked if it was a new planter and heck... sounds like a fun idea. *snickers* Heavy sucker it would be, too!

Anyway... here she is!

I suppose you can't tell from a still picture, but she's purring away like a... well, like a kitten.

Very much so, Trouble... I was getting a bit claustrophobic with the whole "not being able to go anywhere" deal. My sister is far too involved with her fiancee and my parents are the type to stay home once they get home... I was stuck! It's quite a trek to walk anywhere I wanted to go, so ... meh. It sucked.
