We need to get rid of some of our "treasures" we've acquired. I have a piece of driftwood that I'd like to sell but I don't know how much to ask for it. I know driftwood is expensive, and this is a larger piece. It measures 42" long by 5 1/2" wide at the widest part. I'm going to try to attach a picture.

I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me, thanks.

Personally I wouldnt pay anything for a piece of driftwood, but I do have access to the lakes and rivers around here. Depending on where you live and the availability of quality wood around will determine your price.

Angie,

I would guess that a piece like this could sell somewhere between $20 and $40. It is pretty big, which is good, but it doesn't have any branching, which is not so good.

I assume it has been in a tank already. If not then the buyer would have to “ripen” it first, so it sinks and has no tannins. Did you buy it or find it (if found - did it come from the ocean?).
