I just got Google Talk like a week ago and I was wondering if anyone else has it, come on speak up if you do. I haven't really used it enough to decide if I like it, so far it seems pretty great. Anyone else have opinions of it?

If you don't know what Google Talk is, it's Google's chat program. It works with your gmail account if you have one similar to how msn works with hotmail (mail notification features, etc.) but IMO so far it's a much better program. Very minimalist, it just does what it's supposed to do without all the extra garbage. Also has a good "call" feature for talking to people without long distance charges. Google keeps coming up with cool stuff.

I concur. I much prefer the text automoticons to the annoying aim or msn smilies. I do however miss certain features of msn such as being able to change your username, and the no file cap on icons. Otherwise, it's great. I only have like, 8 people on my list so far (most of my friends refuse to switch, but whatever). CupofLifenoodles@gmail.com--yeah. k.

i got it, but nobody i kno has it so i added you two to my buddy list, i guess once i get more people i kno on it and i use it some ill know if it works pretty good

don't have it ... yet... what is this hype about G-mail anyway? isn't it just another email program? Why should I open an account there? Is it free?

the thing about gmail is that they give you enough space for you to have you emails that you never have to delete them, u just archive them and you can search through them at any time

I've got it, haven't used it yet, because well, I can't seem to get rid of a lot of names of people i don't im withit's irritating to have all the people i've received email suddenly listed and those that i don't email with just got a oopsed email fromanyway to deal with that? I'll leave it open I suppose till i get totally frustrated
