I'm a freelance writer, editor and designer, with a few regular jobs, one for a tourist magazine and another for an arts magazine I co-publish.

I can't really support my fish habit unfortunately. I haven't bought anything fishy-related, besides food, for a very long time.

I clean a freind's tank and he pays me very well for my time. That pretty well supports the fish habit. Otherwise, I'm a waitress by night and an administrative assistant during the day. Add onto that volunteering as an EMT (hope to get a paid job doing that in the next couple of years).

I work at an LFS...

Initially setting up my tank I had/have to dish out a lot of money, but most of the livestock and such I'll be getting off guys in the club. We all work together to keep e/o in the hobby. Getting things at wholesale and fragging stuff just to be generous really helps out.

I dont have alot to spend on my fish habit. The only thing I buy atm is food and such for the fish I have.
I'm not in the paid workforce. I'm a mummy... soon to be for the second time. So hubby's pay packet supports what I need to keep my fish happy.

I'm currently at work (where nothing has happened for over an hour thanks to having a bunch of brand-new freshmen with nothing to go out and do - nor a clue of where they are in relation to anything) as the night access clerk in the dorm where I live.

I batt my eyelids and look weak and defenceless

Nah, I work for the family business importing and onselling herbal products (legal ones ) and i'm about to take the dive and start my own online company... hopefully that translates to a 200+ betta barracks and a decent 4' planted tank

Hopefully

I work at a local Safeway (grocery store) but more importantly I married a man who is a very very very smart computer something-or-other (along the lines of a computer architect); he's actually been sought after by a number of companies

Even with 9 tanks running I find I'm not spending that much. Things like filter cartridges and food I buy in economy sizes from Big Al's, who is much less expensive than any lfs here, even with the cost of shipping. I only have to buy frozen food locally.

I don't think I'll ever consider my tanks 'complete' and I'm currently working on aquascaping and plants, which aren't terribly expensive either.
