Attaching photos directly to a post is a premium member feature. There are many free photo storage website you can use instead and just provide a link to where the photo is kept.

Opiate

After you have read that thread post your questions and tell us what brand and model camera you have.

Post some photos as well telling us how you take the photos this is possibly the most important

If the tank lights are on there should be no need for flash.

You need to get more light into the camera, this can be done by,
slower shutter speed
higher ISO setting
opening the aperture
all of these allow more light in, but may cause some blur.Higher ISO is the safest but will give a more grainy image.

Have settings like saturation, size etc on the highest level.

Try using manual,or if using auto use the flourescent light setting. Use the macro function.

I always have to use a flash, because if I don't the photo always comes out completely black (except for the glowing fish eyes) unless I'm in bright sunlight. The ISO setting doesn't do anything for my camera.

I find that the best way to avoid glare when you take a picture is to take it at a slight angle. This can be either a vertical or a horizontal angle, but if you take the photo right in front, you will only see glare.

I always use the flash when taking pictures of my fish, and I think my photos come out pretty decently.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.
