My daughter is babysitting her teacher's red slider(?) for the summer. Any tips on taking care of him? Thanks!

nothing special. i had a red ear slider female for 7 years b4 she died, and now i have a 3 year old male red ear. a 30 gallon tank should do well, and fill with around 4-5 inches depending on the turtle size. go to the lfs and get any kind of turtle pellets, feeder goldfish(once and a while) and krill(also once and a while for a treat)change water weekly like when you do your fish. tap water, with stress coat. doesn't have to be fancy.
