In Melbourne it is geenerally joked about you can get four seasons in one day. Or you can wear four different outfits in one day. Good reason for more new clothes girls. Actually we (Melb Victoria) have eight seasons in one year as known by the origional land owners In the tropics of Aust they have two seasons its either hot and wet or hot and dry. Where you at in Oklahoma? I was born and raised in Texas, but I went to Southwestern Oklahoma State in Weatherford and met my husband (soon to be ex  ) and we lived in Prague, OK for 6 years before moving down here. I know a lot about about Oklahoma weather....it's just as crazy as Texas weather. All my in-laws live in various cities all across Oklahoma and my almost 10 year-old son was born in Oklahoma City. chelaine Big Fish Posts: 383 Kudos: 343 Votes: 78 Registered: 23-Jul-2005 | I reside in Tulsa, Oklahoma.. its like a big little city.. everyone here hates it, but i like it because it pretty much has everything i could ever need. yeah today it was high 70's and now its like 50. with weather like this, the burn ban is never going to be lifted... for those who dont know, half my state is being burned by wildfires due to there not being any rain or snow this winter. *Chelle* I love the fishes cuz they're SOOO delicious... |

Of course, we're not quite up in the tropics so we do have some semblance of winter. But the coldest day I can remember in recent times was when it didn't get above 10 C (about 50 F) for the whole day - very odd because it was in spring. The whole population walked around freezing that day - no-one quite knew what to do, Brisbanites don't tend to own proper winter clothes! It gets lower than that sometimes at night in winter, but by then we're usually under doonas with our trackies and bedsocks on  .The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. - Oscar Wilde |
