put my hand on the oven tray when I was making toast, then stood there trying to work out what the strange sensation in my hand was until I realised it was burning. that was stupid!

One time I went to a lonestar steakhouse and took a close look at a bottle of tobasco. It had a lot of tobasco overrunning the neck of the bottle. I didnt realise that untill I got an itch in my eye....and RUBBED IT.

rabbitsounds like me, oops was that castiron skillet supposed to be that hot after being in the oven

My stupid trick for the day, was going to the job interview, and not knowing they had done some *cough*changing*cough* to 610/10 South/East interchange

Confuse the snot out of me, go over the Port of Houston Bridge like normal and was in the middle lane, like always, uh this lane totally disappeared and being in rush hour I was able to go right, but not left...normally no problem that lane chooses up ahead to go I-10 West or 610 North, or is it East *shrug* not anymorethat now is I-10 West, had I gotten in the left hand lane all would have been fine, I think...anyways ended up going I-10 East and looping back to 610 North (definately North at that point)

So lesson learned if you are driving in Houston, they have completed a ton of road work down on the South Loop, but the road signswell, they will come when they go and reconstruct this new bit the next time around

ps by the wayI got the job!!!!!!!!!!

Well, this happened today, but early early early this morning...

I decided I was a bad mom and better go and do the water changes...I did them in the livingroom and feed everyone...then somehow i forgot to put the lid on the can of flakes (large can, with luckily only 1/4 inch of food left in it) and turned around to pick up the can, but somehow or another didn't get a good hold on it, and ended up throwing it across the room in one good swoop...thus emptying the rest of the food in the livingroom floor]:|

OK that's not good enough? Let's go with this

I finished doing the gravel vacs on all the tanks, and had refilled the 29 gallon, refilled as soon as I drained

Was getting upset because the stupid guppies in the 20 gallon wanted to play in the vaccume piece of the python, and I had to keep pulling the python out of the tank...So in order not to have one accidently get sucked up into the hosing while I ran into the bathroom to reverse the flow of the water, I simply placed the vaccume on the bed, reasonable enough, since there wasn't any water in it, right Why didn't I remember this when I reversed the flow so I would be filling the tanks? So much for my freshly made bed, with clean sheets and quilt]:|I'm sure you can figure out what happened...

That's it for total stupidity, I refuse to admit anything else at this point today...heidi

That's just the cold hard truth
I still throw a few back, talk a little smack
When I'm feeling bullet proof
So don't double dog dare me now
'Cause I'd have to call your bluff
I ain't as good as I once was,
But am as good once as I ever was

Nothing today (so far) but yesterday i did something stupid - i was painting some backgrounds to scan and use in layout. I was using my office floor as an easel and left the palette covered in wet paint there when I turned back to the computer . After about half an hour of working, I heard a bell jingle, turned around and saw my cat Mia standing in the middle of the wet palette, a bewildered look on her face as I don't think she expected it to be wet...

I screamed, grabbed her (luckily - before she could walk on the carpet) so of course her paws went all over my jacket and shirt. I tried to wrestle her into the bathroom to wipe off her feet, but this is an 8 kilo, feisty cat - and I'm still recovering from broken arms and all. So she got away before I could get to her feet. There was a trail of paw prints all over the bathmat, across the floor and all over the living room - then more on everything that was sitting on the coffee table where she jumped up. I chased her down a few times to swipe at her with a wet tissue, but she wasn't having a bar of it. So in the end I just had to leave her, shut the doors to the carpeted rooms and wait for her to walk it off her feet, at which stage I got the mop out. I've been working 16-hour days since Sunday this week - I really didn't have time for that! At least it gives me an excuse for being so stupid in the first place.

All I can say is, I'm glad the majority of the house has wood floors!

Ill start off....

Today at work I was doing Paintless Dent repair on a new Dodge Durango door...I was working the dent through the window opening, had my window guard in place and everything.

I was about finished with the dent and was just putting the finishing touches on it when........yup, the glass broke. I forgot that the durango's have laminated windows and that they are sensitive to pressure on the edges.

Long story short I made $50 off of that repair, but ended up paying $467 for a new window.

Its definately a monday

I stopped at a LCPS on my way home from work... and walked out with a new betta girl. Which is not stupid, per se, but not something I needed... now I have to set up a QT for her until I'm sure she's not going to kill off my other girls with whatever diseases she might bring with her. This particular store is known for sick fish, but heck, it's on the way home and I needed cory food.

While there, I peered into the few bettas displayed in those "designer" type betta tanks. I took the half-rotting plant out of the one bowl so the betta could MOVE, and moved one betta from a small plastic bowl (smaller than the normal cups they're sold in, and with too much gravel) into a larger cup and added water to both. The poor thing in the tiny bowl couldn't even "stand" up straight and when I put him in the bigger cup, he seemed half-paralyzed. Poor thing. I was pondering taking him home, but wound up with just the lil girl I found. I don't have room to keep up a tank like he'd need... I'd think that a poor fish that can't get along too well should have a very short, long tank, to get to the surface easily.

The new girl is pretty... a pure, bright white with red in her fins. I'm thinking the red may spread from the random blotches to possibly more of a cambodian look.

Still... I don't need more fish! Or, rather, I don't have room to keep setting up more betta tanks!

~Meow. Thus spoke the cat.~
