Now I think you guessed that this is what I feel like. Well today I was getting a sandwich and I trough my knife towards the sink. It hit my tank and put a huge hole in the side and it was a disaster. Everything is OK but I still feel dumb so I thought I would ask what stupid stuff you guys have ever done. (So I can feel a little better)

Just to make you feel better...
I haven't done anything wrong yet, ever!

Okay, that probably didn't help much

Are the fish okay?

Gee wiz Spaced emu
Is your tank above or near your sink......I'm just asking so I can get a better understanding of how bad you really feel.....Like for example my tank is in my living room and if I missed my sink and punched a hole in my tank two rooms away I'd most probebly would need some sort of medication or couseling.

Don't get me wrong I'v done my share of stupid thing like stepping on a metal rake to see if it worked like in the cartoons......yeh it works just like that.

but I think the closest to doing something stupid with my fish was to allow my wife to out and by a bunch of fish that crowded the tank ...still dealing with that.

Oh, don't feel bad. It was an accident, it's not like you meant to throw it at the tank.

I recently purchased a UPS (uninterruptable power supply) for my 2 Five gallons and my 10 gallon. I wanted to test the UPS out to see how long it would last. But, I wanted to mimic summer conditions. So, I unplugged the heaters. Because it's hot enough in the summer for the heaters to be off most of the time. So, I ran the deep battery test for 20 minutes via the computer software and I felt confident that the UPS will power the tanks without heaters for six or more hours (using math). So, guess what I forgot to do after I was done testing. Yup, forgot to plug the heaters back in. The heaters didn't get plugged in until next morning. The fishies are ok, thankfully.

No the fish is as far as I can tell OK and no my aim is not that bad. Really it was off by like an inch. But I like to think that when things go bad I push back twice as hard and am going to get a bigger better tank
