no I havent, cos i dont do consoles

But the console games I have seen, cos they do run a console room at the lans I go to, all seem to have much less precise aimability than the PC version.

I disagree. Analog sticks work far better than mouse scrolling, IMO.

most definately. variety of games wins over graphics quality IMO.

Although the PSP won't be as popular because you can get trojans and virus's on it through the internet connection that it has, which renders the whole thing useless. Nasty things

Actually they have, its coming out for Xbox 360, which i think will be the only one it comes out for. ( The Elder's Scrolls 3: Morrowind was out for Xbox) I read that while I was on the Morrowind forums. That will be an incredible game.

And how can any console be any good at FPS's when they all use auto-aim. Where's the skill?

The surf and play games at the same times means that you can go multiscreen display or even use multiple tv's to have seperate displays.You can even set it to control 2 tvs so each screen handles half the picture for those really big gaming experiences, combined with the hi-def tv res that should be awesome

Most console FPS's don't have auto-aim. At least the ones I play don't...

Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is coming out for PC and they have yet to mention anything about other consoles(and they are nto saying it will be only for PC and Xbox), so there is a possibility that it could come out on PS3.

SSB needs more earthbound characters.

I'll probably go for Revolution first. If and when the third Super Smash comes out I have to have it. Online capability with a game like that is a frickin' dream come true.

My PS2 will satisfy my RPG needs, so I won't be getting PS3 unless something really groundbreaking comes out.

Yeah you forgot Resident Evil 4 and the Turok series (1st one was the best )
man I love those games.

Nintendo rev and the PS3 for me.

People probably don't realize but the Nintendo rev is perfect for 1st person shooters. And also real time strategy games. The controller is almost like using a pc mouse. And with the free online play it'll make for some awesome games.
Also it's cheaper.


The PS3 looks very cool. They have already gotten some good games in development like Resident Evil 5. Which is something I can't miss out on.

This is the way I see it, but im completely torn between the Xbox 360 and Ps3. Nintendo has like no rights to any good games, their only one was Resident Evil 4 and Zero, which you can get on Ps2 now, and they are all super mario bros and things that you can get on every other console. Xbox 360 has the rights to The Elder's Scrolls 4: Oblivion (which will be an AMAZING game) and halo 3, not to mention better online play (an now Xbox Live is free if you get the Silver version, Gold has more features but you gotta pay). PS3 has the rights to Resident Evil 5, and free online play. So I'm not sure what I'm gonna get.

And i bet the puters will all be amazing, but still no decent games for them. I dont care if it's not pretty gfx so long as it's got GAMEPLAY!!!!

If you look at the e3 meeting where ps3 was unveiled on IGN.com that should pretty much settle the arguements. Were talking over a teraflop of processing power,128 chip performance, and the nvidia stuff in the machine was awesome.The screen rez is awesome and compatible with high definition tv. It has up to 5 bluetooth controllers and will be blueray (thats 50 gig disks) compatible, its also promoting web services like cam communities and the fastest web play ever , theres a range of applications coming out, it will do all the usual file storage duties and youll be able to shop online with it, make digital phone calls etc. A lot of people will find their pcs obsolete.Its still backwards compatible too, and you can link psp's with it .Some of the linkages on the board have a 50 gig per second data transmission rate.It is said you can play games and surf simeultaneously.

I want one.

XBOX is toast.

IMO, there dont seem to be any decent games coming out any time soon anyway (except for Tiny_clanger's WormMaze), so I dont really see the point of either getting a new console or upgrading the gfx on my PC. It's obvious at LANS and so forth that people are still playing the old classics, and, except for BFII, very few new games.

I mean we are still spending hours playing Operation Flashpoint, and that's ancient now. And Flashpoint 2 does not sound as tho it's going to be any good on console or (eventuallY) PC. There just doesnt seem to be anything new and good coming out. So not really seeing the point of upgrading
