My mom recieved an email from one of her friends that had some amazing pictures in it, the kind that literally make your mouth drop. I figured I'd share them with you guys because I think they're really cool. Enjoy!!!

yeah, i believe the two shark ones are known hoaxes, at least the helicopter one is definitely fake that's for sure otherwise i really really like the sun pic

I like lightning And the mountain pic and storm and boat pic are pretty cool too

[edit] and you can tell that the shark and helicopter one is fake because that looks like the golden gate bridge in the background and what kind of coast has a bridge into the middle of the ocean?:%)...

The second Shark one is fake. I read about it in National Geographic.

Also, as someone who lives in Marin County (the "other end" of the Golden Gate Bridge) and travels across that bridge about 50 times a year, everything is wrong in that picture. Apparently, the picture is looking East, into the bay (as you can tell by the hill with the buildings in the background), but if that were true then the chunk of Marin that you see in that photo would on the left, not the right side of the photo. Marin County is north of San Francisco County.

Everything about the scenery photo is wrong; it's all been Photoshopped together from many other photos to make it look more extreme. I spotted that the second I saw that picture a couple years ago.

The bridge connects two narrow peninsulas, not big chunks of land. The angle of the picture is supposed to be looking from the Pacific Ocean looking into the Bay.

i just want to point out that people have been doctoring photos for years before photoshop made it easy for the average person to do so. that doesn't mean that the pics are any less interesting because they've been doctored, it just makes the scene they portray less believable. i still think the shark & helicopter one is a great pic, even though i know it's fake

the first one is real - it has been beaten to death on a pro photographer website i go to.. its actually a dolphin (you can tell by the dorsal fin)

I've seen the one of Earth with the lights....actually saw it on the NASA website or was it McDonald's Observatoryeither way I've seen it and others like it...always laughed on looking closer at the area of Texas and how bright Houston well east Texas is versus west No wonder we could see the stars out there and not hereheidi

The jumping sharks are known from South Africa, I recall, not California.

Anyway, as for the helicopter pic, as far as I'm aware, the British Army doesn't use MH-60 Pave Hawks - they're strictly US Army issue. They might use Blackhawks now and again, but more usually, they pick Chinooks.

I've made way better Photoshop pictures. You can see a place below the helicopter where the creator of the picture sharpened it too much.

who cares if it is good or bad? really.

most regular joe shmoes wouldn't even see that small portion.

I work in a photo lab. Even a really crappy picture that I took gets oohs and ahhs out customers, as does horrible out of focus shots out of disposable cameras.

I've been doing photoshop now since version 3. I've got a copy of version 2 around here somewhere, so i've seen a heck of alot of manips in my time.

I know of a restoration service that does worse looking manips than that shark photo.

Fake or not they all look awesome! hehe
