The Canadian Hellraisers Stunt Show is not the place to learn to ride a bike! Just a little tip.

well, i was riding around today, and a local high school was having a car wash. they had some cute high school girls wearing short shorts and bikinis out on the sidewalk and a couple of them saw me at the light and started saying "hey, come get your bike washed!" i just laughed and drove off.

Hi,
Mine was a 1971 Harley Davidson, 1200cc, Electra Glide.
Rode it for ten years (71-81) and then had to sell it
to pay for my divorce .

All I had left was a picture of my machine with my
ex wearing only a mini skirt and 4 inch heels
posed on it.

When we got married, Susan would not let me keep it
and made me throw it away..
Go figure

Ah well, now I can't afford one, instead I own stock in
the company. Each spring I go through "Harley Fever" as the
new models come out.

i just bought this one a little over 2 weeks ago from my neighbor across the street. he had parked it for two years because he thought he had a carburetor problem, but in reality he ran out of gas it has an oil leak which i will have to deal with eventually, but for now this thing runs pretty damn good for sitting for two years [/font]

I know what you mean about chains and drive shafts moondog. The Z1300 had a drive shaft. We broke a chain on the CB750/4 and it smashed threw the bottom crank case. While racing his Suzuki my hubby's torque bar broke flowing him off. He hit a guard rail at the race track. In the guard rail there was some bolts sticking out. As he was sliding along this rail, his sleeve of his jacket go stuck on one of these bolts. Well his body keep going with the speed of the fall, but his arm got left behind when his sleeve got stuck. It separated his arm from the ball/joint around his shoulder, ended up without the full use of the arm for some months, and concussion. Lucky he now has the full use of his arm, but it could have been alot worse.
While riding our VF1000R, (what I should have said is race, as my hubby didn't know any other way) we went riding on weekends up in the mountains. One day he was racing this 1300cc Harley down the mountain, and he was going too fast for this corner. We locked up, but it was too late. We high sided over the top of the bike. He yelled "hang on". When we picked ourselfs up, I was tossed about 6 metres further than him. We looked up at the bike, which landed still on its wheels, and it slowly toppled over and smashed its fairing. This bike was brand new, and cost $11000 back in these days. (1980s) Ouch. There was black slide marks from my boots on the tank from me trying to hang on. haha. Well hubby did say "hang on, and I did.
We didn't get to badly hurt. Him a crack rib, me a sore leg. But that was the last time we rode like that on the roads. I wouldn't get on with him. I lost my nerve. He ended up racing on the tracks after that. Shame, cause they were fun days...***Tiger

ooh, my first bike ever was a 1974 cb750 four. it was my main vehicle when i first went to college, cause parking was so terrible for cars, but i could park my bike within 100 yards of my dorm room i ended up wrecking it and haven't had another bike for 12 years until a few weeks ago. this bike is WAY easier to maintain than that 750 was. for one thing, it has a drive shaft instead of a chain drive. if i see a bike with a chain or a belt drive i just cringe. i hate those things ]

My hubby and I had bikes for years. He had a motorcycle shop and used to race them.
Bikes we owned:

I used to be the passenger of a Honda Goldwing. I as in the "Goldwing Community" book and everything. My motorcycle permit expired in 1999 and since I don't want to buy a bike of my own, I have not renewed it. Good Luck with your new toy! It looks great!
