Busted AC.......]:|]:|]:|]:|]:#(

It's 38C with humidex, actually 29C.....my tank temperature has been no lower than 84F so I have lost ALL of my pandas. I just started on new meds so I'm not feeling well and the hotness isn't helping. :#( ]:| It never gets this hot here in June.

Air conditioning? What's that?

Almost none of the houses around here have air conditioning, even though during the summer temps of 110°F or higher are common. Luckily however, the humidity is almost 0% and most public places have an A/C.

That's horrible that you lost all of your pandas though. Do you have anything blowing on the tank to help it cool down? Even putting ice cubes in the filter would be good.

The tanks are right under ceiling fans, lights out and windows open. I don't like to put ice in the filter because it makes the cardinal tetras and betta coccina cranky. They are wimps but (and I don't mean to play favouritism) I would rather lose the pandas than lose them if I have to choose. Now that the pandas have been wiped out, everybody else seems to be doing fine. I should (hopefully) have AC back next week when we get the central air unit replaced.

I normally wouldn't mind being without it but the meds I am on make me sensitive to heat and blood pressure is really low so I'm not faring so well with it right now. So I am laying and/or sitting down a lot, stuck inside. I have a lot of housework and gardening to do so it's making me grumpy.

*gets more cold drinks and wet facecloths*
