Ive got long( longer than yours) and thick hair.

Add long layers , no bangs and let it grow. Thick hair looks better layered, and is easier to deal with, even if it thins badly. I lost a TON ( like handfuls at a time) when i had my son. THe layers helped alot.

I am voting for leave it as it is. I tell ya, you have wonderful hair and the truth about hair is, the less you mess with it the better it stays. Your length is perfectly fine given the amount of stuff you have to get out of the way. I am not particularly fond of layers, because then tying the hair up becomes a problem, but if you want more body or bounce then you can get layers done.

Otherwise, you look very pretty, you dont need to change that.

*Attempts to specify*
Ummm I vote for shorter. I grew up with long hair (always to the small of the back) and with what I always thought was an abnormally high forehead. I cut my hair the summer I turned 20 (romania is just like maryland weather wise but with no air conditioning )...and I havent looked back since (okay so there was that one year after uni where I was always wearing it up and so it started getting long again :%)). If you're always wearing it up though it wont really matter long or short...what I'd go for is longer bangs to layers...not really a fan of dramatic layers as they tend IMO to look too rat tail-ish (*gags*) but if you cut a bit so that you're able to pull them out of a ponytail or from under a head band it might work.

heh look I'm trying to offer fashion advice *shuts up*

You should get long layers put in it. Don't take anything off of the overall length, but a few layers added in would give it more volume and make it look thicke

I agree with the long layers thing. I think lots of people had bad layering experiences in childhood and aim for hair all the one lenght. But long layers really soften the face and can add shape and volume. (you don't have to look like Farrah in all layered instances)

We call it a fringe, bangs is not a common term over this side of the world.

Frank has long hair?

I had no idea.

No bangs, i like your current wispy bits.

You are slight built enough that even if it thins right out, you will look perfectly fine

Ok, I posted not long ago about hair loss as a side effect of some meds I take. It's still happening...while I don't think I'll be bald any time soon it's upsetting finding hair everywhere. I think it might be time for a change, even if it's just to help me feel better.

Right now it's midway down my back and mostly one length. I can't color or perm since I'm afraid of losing more. It's thick and very straight so I don't want to cut it short since it just lays flat. And with my work hours, fish, and kids I don't want a style I have to work at...I don't use a blowdryer or anything else, it's either in a ponytail or down.

This photo was taken in May, some of it is pulled back.

I agree with long layers. I have very fine hair (which for some reason has gone wavy/curly in the last year) and layers gives it lots of body. Coloring it also gives texture to fine hair.

Well compared to regular guy haircuts it is definately a little longer LOL, but there really isn't much of a time difference for anything that falls below the shoulders. Mine is currently most of the way to my knees (got it trimmed again), and it still only takes 15 minutes in the shower.

You should get long layers put in it. Don't take anything off of the overall length, but a few layers added in would give it more volume and make it look thicker. It also dries a lot faster, too.

really long hair is easy as pie. Wash, brush it out and go. I can't imagine anything easier, never any time spent with a curling iron or with hairspray or anything. I love it and I've done it every day for a long time.
