fishyhelper288   Fish Guru Posts: 2161 Kudos: 1951 Votes: 137 Registered: 29-Feb-2004 | does anyone know how to build a trap? i need to live trap a chip munk, its getting into the house, and my dad sain hes gunna either set out a rat trap, or shoot it  please! im gunna try somthing for now, but i cant go out and buy one, and i only have a few days to trap it, it is realy bold, but any ideas? |

superlion  Mega Fish Posts: 1246 Kudos: 673 Votes: 339 Registered: 27-Sep-2003   | Buildling a live trap for a chipmunk would be very difficult, I would suggest a Sherman trap (bought). You can't use the bucket with food in the bottom and ramps up the outside sides because chipmunks can jump. Good luck with that one. (I was trapping small mammals for my field camp a couple weeks ago, the Sherman traps were all we caught chipmunks in - and I might note that even if you had a live trap, there's no guarantee that it will go into the trap "in a few days" ) Last edited by superlion at 27-Jun-2005 00:03 ><> |
