I was at a mall that had a chain type pet shop. They have an aquarium section. Big cichlid display tank. Looks great! Of course can be seen from the outside of the shop. You go in and they don't actually stock any africans or cichlids! False advertising I say. Feh!

<rant over>

It isn't even that big of a deal. Don't know why I am wasting your time sorry

True but you don't see that principle applied in, say, the fuit shop.

I'd feel jipped too. I really do expect to see what is in the window in the store

Empty chairs at empty tables, the room silent, forlorn.

I agree...

When you think about it, it's pretty much like a grocery store having ads with pictures of fresh fruit everywhere, but then when you get the the store they don't even have a produce section.

I'm not your neighbor, you Bakersfield trash.

Gotta love marketing You see something flashy, it draws you in. While you're in there, you might see something you need and pick it up, eventhough the flashiness is only in the window.

Fall out you are right. It is nice to see but it would be nice to know they stock my kinda stuff too. Never mind. Good to have a pet shop as a backup for filter wool emergency.

Actually markets have a very precise layout for their stores. They dont just throw stuff anywhere when they plan a new supermarket, they place things almost strategically. What is the main thing that most people go to the supermarket for: Milk and meat. Did you ever notice that the milk and meat are always located in the back? that way you must walk through the whole supermarket, and on the way to the get milk and back you browse, and end up with ten items and the milk. That is how supermarkets sell their meat at such a cheap price, beacuse they make money on all the things you buy on the way there. It's just like you said Fallout.

Yeah, i have similar experiances like that. Example- A fish store has Boesman rainbows on sale for $6 but they do not have them. Once they take the sale of, they get them in and sell them for $13.]:|
