My friends have an aquarium[29g] and they never pay any attention to it, there is so much algae that u can barely see through, and they are missing like 1/4 of the water in the tank at times!!!

Well no fish have died in the tank forever and there cories bred...WOW...

sometimes in my 20 high, i let the water go down about 1/4 th my zebra danios bred in it too i found it odd, but hey, the 3 littler buggers dont lye but i atleast dident have an algae problem

my sisters 10 gallon looked kinda like what you described, i took all the fish and added htem to my 29 for a week or .. 3 .. and her corys bred in the tank
