Most people are, to some extent, though I don't think glasses will help your condition.

you two are strangeanyone want mine? And it isn't a matter of having to take them with meit's a matter of "oh do I want to see where I'm going? I do? Put them on your darn face then" we won't talk about me driving this morning when i took them off to rub my sleepy eyes (35 mile drive I didn't really wake up till the last 3 or 4 miles), and didn't think to put them back on

I'm wondering, you say that they gave them to you because you are suffering from dyslexia? (ie. you are dyslexic) Who actually diagnosed you as being dyslexic? Was it the optometrist, or did you see a reading specialist? Did you see one then another with a referral? I know from experience that being dyslexic now covers many many areas with different meanings. The only true reason that I can see why they might give you glasses to help correct dyslexia, is if it is in the form where color overlays would be of assistance in your reading...this would mean that you were given a diagnostics test using different color overlays "colored overhead projector sheets" and eventually through a combination of these they can find a helpful partial solution to the problem. Thus instead of having you carry the overlays around (these get scratched up and destroyed rather easily) they are putting the color in the lenses to help...otherwise I'd be rather hesitant as to why they would give you glasses for dyslexia, or you didn't by chance mean ambliopia did you? heidi

Blue tint or in some people, pink tint glass helps keep letters still on the page.

I know it sounds really silly, but its true. I used to have blue tinted overhead sheets when i was really crook to help my eyes focus and read the words.

Mum used to work with a lot of dyslexic kids, and of all the things she did to help, coloured paper and tinted glasses were the most beneficial.

(if coloured paper works for you, get your exams printed on blue, it helped me a lot )
