umm kat, but I dont think that counts, cos it's practically become my name now.

At uni, on my first day, there was a girl already in my flat called Catherine, so I introduced myself as Kat to save confusion. It's just kinda stuck now.

Winkle - My brother started calling me this about 10 years ago. I have no idea where it came from though

Smokie - My friend Amanda calls me this one. It started about 11 years ago when we were talking online....In ref. to my occupation at the time (firefighter).

Sugar - An ex girlfriend called me sugar when we were together and it stuck...Even though its been 5 years since we were together, she still calls me Sugar whenever we talk

There are others too, but they are either not appropriate, or I dont get called them anymore

my nickname used to be kevbutt but that was a loooooooooog time ago....

My husband is in a motorcycle club and all club members and supporters (wifes, gilfriends, significant others) have road names that other members give to you. Since we live here on the Texas/Mexico border most of our members are hispanic so most of the road names are in Spanish (well, texmex) Mine started out as Roja Loca....which translated is crazy red-head. This was given to me because I'm a crazy, waaaaay out there red-head (and anyone who knows me will verify ) So, in english I go by crazy red, or, more often than not, just "Red".

After a night of drinking my road name got added to and now, the long form is La *_____* Roja Loca Fastidiosa which means The *_____* Crazy Obnoxious Red-Head.
