It's amazing just what we're capable of doing to ourselves in lax moments.

My favourite was when I was at university. And was using a drill to try and drill holes in some steel plate to make a home made bag carrier for the back of a bicycle because the one in the shops was too expensive.

So, I head off to the mechanical engineering faculty, which had at the time a place where students could borrow machine tools and other kit to perform car maintenance etc., and away I go, drilling merrily ...

Then, in a moment's lapse of conentration, I slipped.

And gave myself an extra hole to pee through.

If your eyes are watering at this point, good.

Fortunately the damage has long since mended, but I'm a LOT more cautious around machine tools after that.

I got a tenus booster because my other shot or whatever I guess wore off and it really doesn't hurt...more of like an achiing like Ethan said.

It's the normal pinch you get from regular shots...

Ouchy!!!!

But, hey what is 4 stitches? My sis had 5 when she was 3 she thought she could dive into the bathtuband well, she's still livingI think

You're dad will be fine It could have been a lot worse, but might want to take Ingo's thought into considerationmaybe you might need a professional to help with the new tank

Gloves just don't work too well for protection when a power drill is involved.

I hope he heals quickly. Learn from his mistakes.

Aww!! You should ask him to wear some protective gloves and goggles just in case.

Eek, reminds me of when my brother threw a dart through my brothers hand..

Hey Fishy,

Don’t worry too much – it is just the hand. He will be fine. 4 stitches is not all that bad. I once got about 20 (at least) and all grew back together just fine. And my 5 year old daughter got 5 on her forehead last Spring (crashed into a door frame).

In addition, I am not sure anymore, but didn’t you tell me your father was going to make a concrete base for your next tank? Maybe he should get the pros in instead
