now i can't use left click, so i have to click the right to open the property menu, and then hit open, and then hit right, like 5 times to close the property menu, and then i can type. i think it is time to wipe computer clean.

save all the stuff ucant get back easly to a disk, and do a clean sweep had to do that a few times here just did one a few months ago

OK - reformat and repartition.

Save what you've got, and if you havent already, when you reformat, create a 10g C:\ partition for windows and apps ONLY. NEVER save anything to this partition!

If you use Bittorrent or cracks, (which I'm sure nice law abiding people would never do ) create a seperate downloads drive, somewhere between 5-30g depending on your HD space. NEVER download ANYTHING except to this drive. The advantage of this, is when you reinstall windows, you lose nothing. This also lets you exploit the easiest and most permenant way to remove viruses - format C:\, enter, enter!

As for the rest, set it up how you like.

Set your AV to scan C and Downloads every day, scan every file after DLing it and before opening it. Seriously think aboutthe computing habits which are causing the infections. 99% of viruses work by exploiting human common sense bypasses, so think about what you are doing to let themin? Are you accepting attachments which may be risky, do you have AV and firewall running 24/7 and are they updated regularly, for the AV, this should be every day? Should you be thinking about switching browsers? Are you reinstalling every 3-6 months? You probably should be, especially if you have always on internet.

oh and get the prograp go back!! its the best time to have!! after u get a virus and go a clean sweep, u just add go back..set it up..and everything is back to normal...i think theres a bit more to it but its a great program
