Me and my mate decided to call it quits on the whole bad band thing..however just b4 we stopped it i said wet wet wet, and he started laughing! and declared me the winner hehe...godda love it! ths guys/gals!

Two things to note here.

One, Samantha Fox wasn't a pop singer. Her career path involved being photographed regularly for The Sun newspaper in the UK wearing very little clothing. Making a pop record was a sort of afterthought, motivated by the Stock/Aitken/Waterman pop machine that also brought Kylie Minogue to the UK (that first 'pop song' she performed was, quite frankly, atrocious, and had 'product' stamped all over it). Samantha Fox was simply one of several female figures spat out of the end of the Stock/Aitken/Waterman assembly line (Mel & Kim, Sabrina, Pepsi and Shirlie, the list goes on) presumably on the basis that the best way to sell records was to package disposable dreck in lots of glitter and front it with pretty female faces (and in some cases, more than a hint of visible female cleavage) and watch it climb the charts as millions of hormonal teenagers bought it.

Two. Crazy Frog is very high on my list of targets for a thermonuclear strike. The annoyance level of this creation has long since surpassed the point where Amnsety International should have declared continued exposure to it a breach of the UN Charter on Human Rights (specifically the part relating to torture), and has reached the point where ten minutes' exposure to this festering dogpile would turn St Francis of Assisi himself into a homicidal maniac hell-bent upon mass extermination. As for Jamster, well I am almost certainly not alone in wishing for its Board of Directors to be struck down by a mystery genetically engineered plague, and that is without having to endure the frequency of Jamster ads on television (I threw my TV out years ago). Those of my acquaintances who still have their TVs have told me that this monstrosity was broadcast simultaneously on all available channels in the commercial breaks three times or more in each ad space, the ads timed in such a manner that no amount of channel hopping could bring escape. This kind of psychological warfare has earned Jamster the kind of seething, visceral hatred normally reserved for perpetrators of genocide, and I for one would happily see the company directors forcibly strapped into sensory depivation chairs and forced to listen to their own demonic creation non stop for three days. Just so that they know how the rest of us have felt.

Not that i'm particuarly fond of alot of the so called "emo" bands, That was a worthless generalization.

I'm involved alot with bands because of where I'm going to be in the next few years, so I've familiarized with alot of bands I didn't used to know, and I can tell you know there are alot of "emo" bands out there that have really talented members.

I was at work today and sixpence none the richer-kiss me came on the radio, and my mate yelled out infront of everyone "hey ash...isn't this ur fav band" i was shocked lol and quickly came back with nah man but isn't boyzone ur's! And for the rest of the whole day we were naming   bands/singers it was friggin hilarious!!!

Any "boy band" or bleach blonde plastic types, most pop in general.....I think that covers the most hated ones. I agree also about emo, just not a fan of the pasty whiney types either... I also dislike a lot of new "rock", bad metal and pop-punk groups out there, new country, most rap... specific bands (and I am bound to offend somebody):

Fair enough, I never said they weren't talented musicians. I just don't find that type of music appealing - actually, it gets on my nerves. Musical talent does not equal appealing music, at least not to me. And song-writing talent is completely subjective, so there's no point arguing it. If you like the songs that someone writes, then fine, that's your call. But I think it's silly to argue that a band is good or bad based solely on how well they play their instruments.

Same thing with Dar Williams: if you dig her stuff, that's cool. Her music is too hippie-ish for my tastes.

someone who doesn't fit your music taste! This is one of those opinion things. If you don't like rap, I doubt Eminem and 50cent are at the top of your favorite list.

Kind of like Coke and Pepsi... which is better... and the answer is.... whatever you like more!! I know a girl who LOVES coke (no joke, she drinks about 2 litres a day of the stuff), but she cannot stand pepsi in the LEAST!!

Not neccesarily; I do not find rap, r and b, or country particularly palatable, but many of their respective artists are quite talented. That is not to say that I would listen to them; rather, that, despite they are not of my musical preferrence, they are not "terrible".
