Why only 30 min of lightning?. http://uk.pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/s8xi5heh/my_photos http://www.geocities.com/s8xi5heh/classic_blue.html http://groups.yahoo.com/group/buzaqq/ http://www.flickr.com/photos/corydoras/ Member of the Malta Aquarist Society - 1970. http://www.maltaaquarist.com |

I presume that you have had no algae problems from the direct sunlight. Test your nitrates or take a water sample to your lfs and ask them to test your nitrates. If you see the readings increase week over week then you need to increase either the amount of the frequency of your water changes. Doing a 20% water change twice each week as opposed to once each week will improve your water quality more than 100%. __________ "To steal ideas from one person is plagiarism; to steal from many is research." researched from Steven Wright |

I was also confused about the lighting time but you have answered that. If it is working for you dont change it, personally I would like to have it on for a lot longer.
