While watching a topic on external cold water ponds and plants. It was menioned by adding a small amount of this "Natural crushed stone" it reduced the nasties that cause algae in the water and on the plants. Not being a pond person has any ony ever heard of such a product if so would it work if sprinkled on to the substrate of an heated aquarium.

If so it be the best thing since sliced bread.

Have a look in [link=My Profile] http://www.fishprofiles.com/forums/member.aspx?id=1935[/link] for my tank info

I bet it restores hair loss too. I'm skeptical of products with claims like these, since they almost never do everything they're supposed to. If there was a miracle substrate which reduced algae in an aquarium or pond, it would probably be popular and well-known. I've never heard of any rocks which reduce algae in ponds, so I suspect that this is a crock.
