After 4 days of not peeking which was very hard, I am happy to say that the green water is completely gone! The tank is almost crystal clear, just a very slight haze. And let me tell ya, it was so green and stinky, you couldnt see through it.

This method really works. Everyone is happy and the Hornwort doubled in size in the dark. Thank you Jake for your advice.



Along with the blackout, I used Phos-guard in the filter and no chemicals added.

Hi,
Thanks so much for the feedback. So many times folks
ask questions, receive suggestions, and then rarely
report back on the success or lack thereof.
Now you have to keep and eye on the tank and remove
the cause. The green water was the result of an
imballance and you have fixed it. But, without
"fixing" the cause, it will come right back.
