FINALLY!! lol i got a test kit that tests ph, high ph, ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate! my results...

PH: 7.6
HIGH PH: 8.0
AMMONIA: 0ppm (mg/l)
NITRITE: oppm (mg/l)
NITRATE: 5.0

are these results normal? is my PH in the right zone? im a bit confused! Plz let me know! so far i havent had sick or dieing fish.... THANX

I geuss if your PH is high you test with that.... dont know lol i tested it anyway just to make sure i didnt miss anything.. and thanks for the reply!

yes, the high pH is for when your pH is above the normal level, with my test kit its for pH above 8.0. since my pH is right around 7.2 I don't use it

if your pH is 7.6 then everything is quite good
what fish do you have in the tank?
and how long have you had them for?
size and temperature too?

Ive got 3platies and 4fry, 2cories, some type of algea eater got 2 of them, 2 red eyed tetras(i think they are tetras), and 2 white long skirt....something LOL i have the temp to 78 degrees never drops or gets higher and ive had these fish for months. :%)

forgot to mention i have a 20 gal...

tetras and cories need to be in a school of preferbly at least 6
other than that, i think everything is fine
